A sofa is always welcome when you are tired and want a few moments of relaxation, so when choosing one you should not forget that you have to take into account both the colour, structure and material. And all three elements must combine with the atmosphere, the owner’s lifestyle and the rest of the furniture in the room.
The higher end luxury sectional sofa beds have been designed for larger areas. There are from three to five pieces in these sectional sofas. The shapes range from a standard rectangle with ottomans, to a circular sofa that, when all pieces are together, forms a perfect circle. At the mid and low range of affordability is the ’L’ shape sofa. These sofa is still a favorite for small rooms or apartments where they serve the dual function of sofa and bed on a daily basis.
In a place where space is limited, you may prefer a lovely sofa that can also be turned into a bed. These are called sofa beds and are as popular as the normal, everyday sofa.
To lie, to sit, work, relax, read, talk on the phone or sleep: the multifunctional sofa. In the eighteenth century a sofa was also called ’causeuse’ (a room for two people where one could talk); now in the XXI century, maybe we should call the couch a way of life.
